Konstruksi Wasatiyyah Ekologis: Paradigma Transformasi Moderasi Beragama dari Antroposentris menuju Ekosentris
Main Article Content
Abstract
The discourse of religious moderation has tended to be dominated by human-to-human relations and has yet to be adequately developed within the framework of environmental conservation. This study aims to reconstruct the concept of Ecological Wasattiyah by integrating four indicators of Religious Moderation in Indonesia into environmental conservation ethics. This qualitative library research employs primary data consisting of explanatory descriptions of the indicators of religious moderation in Indonesia and secondary data drawn from scholarly books and journal articles. Data were collected through documentary research and analyzed using content analysis. The findings demonstrate that the four indicators of religious moderation can serve as a paradigmatic and ethical foundation for ecological conservation, encompassing national environmental commitment, intergenerational ecological justice, rejection of ecocide, and recognition of local wisdom as a basis for community-based conservation. The contribution of this study affirms that Religious Moderation can be transformed into an ethical-theological foundation for ecological conservation.
