Making Da'wah a Medium for Critical Educational Transformation against Secularism and Capitalism
Main Article Content
Abstract
Secularism and capitalism are crucial problems for modern society, and Muslims are no exception. This qualitative research in the form of a literature study aims to describe the role of da'wah as a medium for critical education on the phenomena of secularism and capitalism. A prescriptive analysis approach was used in this study. Meanwhile, social philosophy theory is used as the perspective foundation. The results of the study show that Islamic da'wah has ontological, epistemological, and axiological bases in the transformation of critical educational values towards the problems of secularism and capitalism, so that da'wah can become a medium for spiritual, ethical, and humanitarian internalisation amidst the social problems of modern society. The contribution of this research affirms that Islamic da'wah can be a medium for the transformation of critical educational values in responding to the problems of modernity.
