FOCUS
FAQIHA: Journal of Sharia Studies focuses on publishing scientific works related to Islamic law (sharia) studies with various related issues, including normative, philosophical, and empirical Islamic law studies.
SCOPE
FAQIHA: Journal of Sharia Studies accepts scientific articles on Islamic law (sharia) from researchers, academics, and practitioners discussing general topics in each category of Islamic law studies, as follows:
- Normative Islamic law studies covering regulatory Islamic legal literature, such as Islamic legal studies of fiqh books, religious court decisions, prominent figures' thoughts, fatwas, state laws, and so forth.
- Philosophical Islamic law studies covering Islamic law at the philosophical level, both in terms of Islamic legal philosophy and Islamic legal theory. In terms of Islamic legal philosophy, such as Islamic law studies on various values, wisdom or Islamic legal paradigms in the study of Ushul Fiqh and Maqasid Syariah. Meanwhile, in terms of Islamic legal theory, this includes the study of Islamic law in relation to methods of Islamic legal deduction (istinbat al-ahkam) and Islamic legal principles (qowaid fiqhiyah), among other things
- Empirical Islamic law studies that encompass Islamic legal studies examining patterns of behaviour and social interaction, both as causes and responses to Islamic law or the impact of Islamic law implementation, such as Islamic legal studies related to issues in the social, economic, cultural, political, civil, criminal, psychological, medical and other fields.
