Abstract

For some religious people, scientific developments are not always seen as being in harmony with religious teachings. This study aims to describe the discourse on the relationship between Islam and science and its relevance to digital da'wah activities. This qualitative research in the form of media observation uses YouTube content data that presents the views of contemporary Indonesian Muslim preachers, such as Habib Husein Ja'far Al-Hadar, Ustadz Abdul Somad, and Ustadz Felix Siauw, and is supported by various relevant scientific journals as secondary data. The theory of the relationship between religion and science formulated by Ian G. Barbour serves as the basis for the perspective. The results of the study show that contemporary Indonesian Muslim preachers (Habib Husein Ja'far Al-Hadar, Ustadz Abdul Somad, and Ustadz Felix Siauw) view Islam and the development of science (technology) are not dichotomous, but rather integrative and collaborative in supporting the effectiveness of Islamic preaching in the public sphere. This research contributes to offering a paradigm framework for the integration of Islamic knowledge and science, as well as da'wah strategies that are adaptive to developments in science and technology.
